Kumbhalgarh – Ranakpur Jain Temple Walk

Take an early morning ride to kumbhalgarh (80 Kms from Udaipur 2 hours) on arrival visit the incredible Kumbhalgarh Fort which is claimed to have the 2nd largest fortified wall in the world, it is also included in the UNESCO world heritage site, after spending ample amount of time at the fort reach Foota deval which is the starting point of the trek, once you reach starting point commence trekking with your trekking guide and local navigator towards Ranakpur.the trek passes through the forest reserve where we see good wildlife, the terrain is downhill for few kilometers in the beginning and then a mixture a uphill, downhill and flat however its very scenic and so refreshing.

On our course of trek we will see ancient Shiva temple, some tribal settlement, beautiful landscape which would be very interesting, on halfway mark we will stop for refreshment and then we continue towards Ranakpur.

On arrival at Ranakpur we will relax ourselves for a while and then we proceed towards the Jain Temples, build in the 12th century it is indeed a marvelous piece of architecture and the temple is build with white marble, the temple complex rests upon 1444 pillars which would be a spectacle for visitors.

After temple visit one can have lunch at local restaurant and then drive back to onward destination.
