DAY 1: UDAIPUR OUTSKIRT TREK (7 KMS APPROX) – KUMBHALGARH (80 KMS APPROX)
Today after breakfast take a 20 min ride to reach the starting point of the trek which is a small village located in the NW of Udaipur, this village is locally known by the name “Morwania”, on arrival at the village we will meet our local navigator who is a local resident and will also accompany us on the trek.
Later commence the trek with your trekking guide and local navigator, on this trek we will see some villages which are though small but very authentic, we will walk through agricultural fields and get to know about the crops grown here and will see the farmers doing their daily work which would be a good experience.
On our halfway mark we will stop at a selected location for refreshment, later we will continue towards the tiger lake watching the local life, close to end we will have a 15 min moderate uphill climb, once we reach the top the view from there is incredible and we can see the villages we passed on our trail, later finish the trek at tiger lake and ride back to the hotel, freshen-up and check-out to leave for Kumbhalgarh.
On arrival at Kumbhalgarh get checked-in followed by lunch later in the evening give a visit to the amazing Kumbhalgarh Fort which is a UNESCO world heritage site and claimed to have the 2nd largest fortified wall in the world.
After fort visit drive back to the hotel. Overnight At The Hotel
DAY 2: KUMBHALGARH – GHANERAO TREK (14 KMS APPROX)
Today after a lavish breakfast drive to the starting point of the trek to Ghanerao and with your trekking guide and local navigator begin trek in the sanctuary area.
Beginning of the trek is downhill but soon it is gonna meet with relatively moderate terrain,a wide variety of flora and fauna can be seen on this trek and your guide will keep updating you with it, wild hogs, antelopes, grey junglefowls,partridges,quails, black faced monkeys are seen very often and if lucky you might get a glimpse of these animals and bird species, on the halfway mark we will take a short break near the crocodile lake which in the local language is called “Thandi Beri”, if lucky you might see some crocodiles here.
There is also a tribal village in the sanctuary area where reside the “Bhil” tribe and passing through it would be very interesting, on finishing the trek at the Jungle Lodge we will relax ourselves and have lunch.
Later drive to onward destination after lunch.
